Pauline Hamilton Barnhardt - R.I.P.


Ethel "Pauline" Hamilton Barnhardt CONCORD Ethel "Pauline" Hamilton Barnhardt, 85, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family and friends Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Universal Healthcare, Concord. She was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Claude Wilson Hamilton and Omie Tilley Hamilton. Pauline was a homemaker for most of her life. She held her church membership at Jackson Park Baptist Church, Kannapolis. Pauline sincerely loved her family and showed that by how she raised them. She especially enjoyed cooking for them as often as she could. Her family fondly remembers her as a lady who smiled and never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jay William Barnhardt; one son, Jerry Wayne Barnhardt; two brothers, Claude William Hamilton and Robert Hamilton; and a sister, Clara Hamilton. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Friday, March 15), at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, officiated by the Revs. Herman Absher and John Barnhardt, her son. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the chapel prior to the service. Survivors include her four sons, Larry (Barbara) Barnhardt, of Faith, Ronnie (Judy) Barnhardt, of Concord, the Rev. John (Carole) Barnhardt, of Grover and Frankie Barnhardt, of Kannapolis; one daughter, Brenda (Jerry) Bare, of Barium Springs; one sister, Ruby Gentry, of China Grove; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pauline will be greatly missed. She is my Grandma Gentry's sister. Ever since I can remember she always wore her hair just like the picture above.

Obituary: John Ramsey Euart Jr b.6-8-1935 d. 9-1-2010

John "Junior" Ramsey Euart, Jr., 75, passed away September 1, 2010 at Rowan Regional Medical Center. Born June 8, 1935 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late John Ramsey and Lottie Viola Smith Euart.

He was educated in Rowan County schools and was of the Baptist faith. John retired from Apec Paving after more than 20 years of service where he was a truck and equipment driver.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy and David Euart; sister, Louise Yost; and daughter, Teresa Michelle Euart.

Those left to cherish his memory are daughter, Beverly Euart of Salisbury; son, John Mark Euart of Salisbury; brother, Carl Euart and wife Zula of Salisbury; sisters, Polly Webb and husband Charles of Salisbury, Elsie Lomax of Salisbury, Betty Truett of Salisbury; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to donor's choice.

Visitation and Service: 10 - 11 AM Saturday at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, China Grove with the service to begin at 11 AM in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment to follow at City Memorial Park in Salisbury.
